Aditya Dhar's film Dhurandhar's music is currently as much a topic of discussion as the film itself. The film's title track and Fa9la have already gone viral. Besides these, the other songs are also topping the music charts. One of these, the dance number Shararat, is also being widely appreciated.
This song features Ayesha Khan and Krystle D'Souza. Shararat appears in a wedding scene, where both actresses are seen dancing with the guests. In the film, this scene depicts a high-profile wedding in Karachi.
Now, the song's choreographer, Vijay Ganguly, has made a major revelation. He revealed that his first choice for the song was Tamannaah Bhatia. According to Vijay, Tamannaah's name was on his mind from the beginning, and he had even suggested her.
However, the film's director, Aditya Dhar, did not agree with this decision. Vijay explained that Aditya did not want the song to feel like an item number. He believed that if there was only one big star in the song, people's attention would shift from the story to just that one artist. Aditya Dhar wanted the song to be integrated with the story. Therefore, he suggested having two dancers instead of one. This is why Ayesha Khan and Krystle D'Souza were cast in the song.
Dhurandhar song's choreographer, Vijay Ganguly, said, “He (Aditya) didn't want the attention to be about this one person. If it were Tamannaah, it would've been about her and not the story. He also added, Jo ho raha tha film mein, there was a lot going on, and if you go away from the story, then the song is just a cut-to song.”
Dhurandhar is a spy thriller film in which Ranveer Singh plays the role of an Indian agent. He infiltrates gangs operating in the Lyari area of Pakistan and severs their ties with terrorists. The film is inspired by true events and also features Akshay Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sanjay Dutt in important roles.
Early box office estimates on Sacnilk indicate that the collection of the movie grew further on Sunday, earning an estimated Rs 38.50 crore net, making the total of Rs 556 crore. With this, Dhurandhar has earned more than 800 crore rupees worldwide.
