Anjali Arora is a well-known social media influencer and actress. She rose to fame overnight with her viral video on the Kacha Badam song. Her popularity soared, but it also brought a difficult period into her life.
Anjali Arora made headlines when an alleged viral video of her was leaked online. It was later revealed that the video was fake and morphed, but by then she had already faced immense mental stress and public humiliation.
Recently, a controversy erupted over an alleged 19-minute viral video of YouTuber and gamer Payal Dhare, also known as Payal Gaming. Anjali Arora openly reacted to this incident and came out in support of Payal.
Anjali said that what is happening to Payal has reopened her old wounds. She said that for online trolls, it's just a few minutes of entertainment, but for those who experience it, it becomes years of pain.
In an emotional post on Instagram, Anjali revealed that the fake viral video also affected her career. She was removed from good projects, and even today, she faces professional repercussions for something she didn't do. Anjali also said that even after three years, she still faces abuse, vulgar questions, and insulting comments on social media. People believe any story without knowing the truth.
In her words, “Three years ago, I went through the trauma of a fake MMS being circulated using my name. Seeing the same thing happen to Payal Gaming today brings back those painful memories. People don’t realize how damaging their actions are. For them, it’s a minute of entertainment – for us, it becomes years of trauma. Even today I continue to face professional backlash, not because of my work, but because of lies.”
She called this mindset extremely shameful and said that no woman deserves to be punished because of someone's false rumors or cheap curiosity. Anjali appealed to people to be more sensitive and responsible.
The case of Payal Gaming is also being described as similar, with many saying that the viral video might be an AI-generated deepfake. Previously, names like Dustu Sonali and Sweet Jannat have also been wrongly associated with similar viral videos.
