ANUPAM KHER

Biography : This veteran actor has many films and plays to his credit. He studied at the National School of Drama and later became its chairperson. He has also chaired the Censor Board. While he made his acting debut with Aagman, it was Mahesh Bhatt’s Saaransh that established him as an actor. He has worked across all genres and is especially known for his comedy. His prominent movies include Daddy, Darr, Dilwale dulhaniya le jayenge, Kuch kuch hota hai and Veer Zaara. He directed Om Jai Jagdish and produced Maine Gandhi ko nahi maara. He also has many talk shows to his name, the most current being The Anupam Kher Show. His international projects include Bend it like Beckham, Bride and Prejudice, Speedy Singhs, The Mistress of Spices and Silver Linings Playbook and the TV show ER. He has received many Filmfare awards as well as two National Awards and the Padma Shri award. He is married to actor Kirron Kher and has a son, Sikandar.
