Harsh Chhaya is a well-known Bollywood actor and director. Recently, he became the subject of discussion on social media due to a cryptic post he shared. The post was about an actor couple who divorced 25-30 years ago. After the post went viral, people began speculating that Harsh was referring to his ex-wife, the famous actress Shefali Shah.
Harsh Chhaya and Shefali Shah were married for approximately six years. They decided to separate in 2000. During that period, the media reported that the couple split up because they couldn’t get along and had different views. Once divorced, they each continued with their personal and professional lives, eventually having and raising kids among other things.
Recently, Harsh shared a long note on Facebook, which was later deleted. In this note, he wrote that the divorce of an actor couple had become big news at the time. As time passed, one of them moved on, considering the relationship a thing of the past, while the other continues to bring up their old relationship on every platform and at every opportunity.
According to Harsh, the actress starts talking about how bad her past was whenever she gets a new project or a microphone on stage. In his words, So an actor couple got divorced some 25-30 years ago. It was quite a news then. Over time, one of them avoids talking about it and passes it off as done and dusted, it's over, move on .. but she is as if always waiting .. any new release or a stage that gets a mic in hand and she makes it a point to let the world know how bad it was even after two and a half decades.
In the post, Harsh also mentioned a Bengali female director who recently worked with the actress. Allegedly, the actress told the director that her ex-husband used to beat her. The director then told this to an old friend of the couple, who knew the truth about their marriage and divorce. That friend clearly told the director that the actress's claim was false. According to the friend, the actress had actually fallen in love with another man, a director-producer, and that's why she left the marriage.
A user wrote, Absolutely no doubt about it. Shefali Chhaya has been talking about her divorce even after 25 years. Anything for a good story or to become a 'strong woman'. How would she feel if her ex-husband also started bad-mouthing her?
Harsh Chhaya was born on December 20, 1970, in Mumbai. He is known for projects like Undekhi, Khajoor Pe Atke, and the recent film Kill. He married Sunita Sengupta in 2003. Before that, he was married to Shefali Shah.
