Nandamuri Balakrishna's much-talked-about film, Akhanda 2, supervised by Boyapati Srinu, has been released in cinema halls today, December 12, 2025. The film, which was previously slated to open on December 5, was postponed at the last minute because of financial issues. Still, this last-minute change has not at all affected the film's box office potential negatively. As per the latest news from box office analysts, Akhanda 2 has already surpassed the Rs 25 crore mark in terms of pre-sales. BFilmy Official reports that the first-day advance grosser alone has already reached Rs 12.13 crore. In such a situation, it would not be wrong to assume that Balakrishna's film will very easily get the double-digit figure or over Rs 10 crore global collection on its opening day.

As per the reports, tickets more than 530,000 have been sold till now for the film's first day. On top of that, Akhanda 2's release is going to be across more than 402 cities worldwide. With such a massive release and significant advance booking, the film is predicted to earn around Rs 30 crores worldwide on the first day of its release. However, as per Sacnilk's reports, Akhanda 2 has already earned Rs 3.99 crore by noon in India, while the Telugu occupancy stands at a total of 47.24%.

The trailer and the promo of Akhanda 2 have already made a lot of noise on social media, which in turn has contributed to its box office opening. Nandamuri Balakrishna is seen taking on a dual role in this sequel, namely Akhanda Rudra and Sikandar Aghora, and Murali Krishna. The film is expected to be mainly characterized by the different styles and the spectacular action of these two characters. The film also has Samantha Menon as the leading lady opposite Balakrishna. Adi Pinisetty, Harshali Malhotra, Kabir Duhan Singh, Saswata Chatterjee, Ronson Vincent, Achyuth Kumar, P. Sai Kumar, Poorna, Ravi Maraiah, and Harsha Chemudu will be showing their acting skills in important characters.
