The anticipated movie was initially announced in December 2023 with a tentative title, Yash19. It marks the 19th film of Yash as a leading actor. The official title was announced later. The period gangster movie features a strong ensemble of cast, including Yash, Nayanthara, Kiara Advani Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, Tovino Thomas, Akshay Oberoi, Sudev Nair, Amit Tiwari, Darell D'Silva, Natalie Burn and Kyle Paul in key roles. The film has been written by Geetu Mohandas and Yash. It has been directed by Geetu Mohandas and backed by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash. Rajeev Ravi has done the cinematography of the film. The music of Toxic has been composed by Ravi Basrur and Anirudh Ravichander.
