Akshay Kumar starrer Sky Force is ruling hearts. Released on January 24, the film has been lauded by both viewers and critics alike, courtesy its word-of-mouth momentum. The film is based on the 1965 Indo-Pakistani air war, which marked India’s first major airstrike. It centers on IAF officer T. Vijaya who goes missing during the 1965 India-Pakistan War while his fellow IAF officer, Om Ahuja takes on the mission to bring him back. Veer Pahariya - who makes his Bollywood debut with the movie - has also received immense admiration for his flawless performance. The actor has impressed everyone with his dialogue delivery and his expressions.
Social media is buzzing with adulation for the actor. Veer Pahariya essays the role of T Krishna Vijaya aka Tabby while Akshay Kumar plays the role of Wing Commander Kumar Om Ahuja. The film also stars Nimrat Kaur and Sara Ali Khan in key roles. The film did a good opening at the box office and earned Rs 15.30 crores. On day 2, it earned Rs 26.30 crore taking the total to Rs 42 cross gross.

As per early estimates by Sacnilk, the film has earned Rs 27.50 crore on third day since its release. The film is slowly inching towards Rs 70 crore. It is expected to cross the Rs 100 crore mark in the next few days.
This is one of the biggest openings for Akshay Kumar in the recent times. The film is directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani and produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik under Maddock Films, alongside Jyoti Deshpande under Jio Studios. Sky Force has now emerged as Akshay's third highest-grossing film post-COVID. While Sooryavanshi had earned 195.04 crore, OMG 2 grossed 150 crore at the box office!
On the work front, Akshay Kumar will be next seen in movies Jolly LLB 3 and Welcome to the Jungle this year. Fans are also eagerly waiting for him to announce Hera Pheri 3.
