Devanshi

Colors show Devanshi is a series revolving around a God-Woman (Karuna Pandey) and a little girl (Kashvi Kothari) as the protagonists. The concept of Devanshi is about dealing with superstitions and how does the girl fight her way through it, moulding her life. It is produced by Full House Media, the production house behind Bahu Humari Rajni_Kant, and written by Sonali Jaffar, the lady behind Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. Set in Haryana, it is the story of a fake Godwoman, Maa Kusum Sundari, who exercises a hypnotic hold over a village. She is supposedly the chosen one of Ghungroowali Mata as the local deity is known. Things change when she adopts a child Devanshi deciding to raise her as a temple child. It was being said that Karuna Pandey’s role of Kusum Sundari is inspired from real life supposed God woman Radhe Ma. However in an interview, Karuna denied her character being inspired from Radhe Ma.
