Udaan

Produced by Bollywood filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, Udaan is the story of the bonded labourers of a wealthy landlord, Kamal Narayan Rajvanshi (Sai Ballal). The story features the female protagonist Chakor (child artist Spandan Chaturvedi), who is kept as collateral (girvhi) at his house. The show underwent a 10-years-leap after which Chakor (now played by Meera Deosthale) gets tricked into marrying her biggest enemy Suraj Rajavanshi (Vijayendra Kumeria) (father of Imli’s child) while her sister Imli (Vidhi Pandya) gets married to Chakor’s childhood love Vivaan Rajavanshi (Paras Arora). Although Imli and Vivaan didn’t like each other initially, they gradually develop romantic feelings for each other. Vivaan takes care of Imli during her pregnancy which melts Imli’s heart. When Imli and Vivaan start getting close, Suraj starts regretting his decision of leaving Imli. He realizes that he loves Imli and that he can’t live without her and his son. He proposes to her but Imli rejects his proposal and tells him that she loves Vivaan. She decides to confess her love to Vivaan but she meets with an accident and loses her child. After her miscarriage she decides to sacrifice her love, leave the haveli and get childhood lovers Vivaan and Chakor married. But Suraj turns good and makes Vivaan and Chakor realize that Imli and Vivaan are made for each other. Understanding her sister’s love for Vivaan, Chakor lies to Vivaan that she doesn’t love him anymore and gets them married. The show now follows the journey of these two couples. The show airs from Monday to Thursday on Colors at 8:30 pm.
