Starring Divyanka Tripathi, Karan Patel in lead roles, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein is a contemporary family drama which airs from Monday to Sunday at 7:30 pm on STAR Plus. Set in Delhi, the show follows the ups and down of the life of Dr. Ishita Iyer (a Tamilian) and Ramankumar Bhalla (a Punjabi), who get married to each other for Ruhi's (Raman and his ex wife Shagun’s daughter) custody and gradually fall in love with each other. Produced by Ekta Kapoor of Balaji Telefilms, the serial first aired on December 3, 2013 and has been going strong on the TRP charts till date. The show took a 7 year leap in April 2016. Now, Shagun’s children Aadi and Ruhi live in Raman and Ishita’s house while Ishita’s daughter Pihu stays with Shagun. Shagun is the surrogate mother of Pihu but Pihu doesn't know about Ishita being her biological mother and assumes Shagun as her mother. Raman’s son Aadi and (Ishita’s friend) Abhimanyu’s niece Aaliya are in love with each other. But, both Mani and Raman are against their marriage. The show now focuses on the lives of their children and its consequences on Ishita and Raman’s lives.
