Bigg Boss 12 winner and Sasural Simar Ka fame, Dipika Kakkar has always been pretty vocal about her health issues and journey ever since cancerous cells were located in her body. She was recently in a conversation with Bharti Singh and Harsh Limbachiyaa on their podcast, where she opened up about how 22% of her liver was cut out from her body. On Bharti TV, the actress mentioned that her last FAPI test took place in November’s 1st week. For the unversed, FABI is Fibroblast Activation Protein Inhibitor, which is used to diagnose cancer-associated fibroblasts. The actress mentioned, "Jab pichli baar hamne FAPI kiya to aur kahi pe body pe uske cells us waqt nahi the (When we did the FAPI last time, there were no cells of it present elsewhere in the body at that time)."

Talking about how 22% of her liver (11 cm) was removed from her body, she said, "Liver ka pura 22% hissa kaat ke nikala, which was like 11 cm; aise bada tukda tha." The actress is keeping up with all of the required tests and is undergoing targeted therapy, a treatment similar to chemotherapy. She also revealed that her treatment is supposed to go on for two years, and the doctors would be monitoring her health and wellness closely during the treatment.

What caused the issue?
When Harsh asked the actress what exactly caused the cancerous cells to develop in her body, she replied that no one could figure that out, including her surgeon from Kokilaben Hospital nor her family doctor. She said, "Jinhone meri reports dekhi hai, unhone bola hai hamse, out of all these experiences, agar aap pucho ki ye aapko kaise hua—we don't have an answer.”
How did Dipika find out about the issue?
Thinking back to how she found out she had cancerous cells present in her body, Dipika said, "Mujhe gallbladder ka pain bohot din se pareshan kar raha tha (I had been troubled by gallbladder pain for a long time)."
Initially, the doctors and Dipika assumed it was just gas; however, later, when the pain became unbearable, she went through a CRP test and found out it was a tumor.
