After dominating music videos, she also tried her hand at movies and debuted with the film Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Sathiyo. In that, she starred opposite Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, and Bobby Deol.
That film did not do much for the actress’ professional career. However, it turned out to be a wonder for her personal life. It was on the sets of this film that she ended up meeting her then future husband. He spotted her there and immediately fell in love with her.
The husband was none other than the head of T-Series, Bhushan Kumar. Bhushan and the actress started talking to each other; however, they kept their distance due to her family being conservative. Upon noticing her hesitation, Bhushan invited her and her entire family to his sister’s wedding.
The actress we are talking about is none other than Divya Khosla Kumar. During the aforementioned wedding, Divya’s parents developed a liking for Bhushan. Hence, the couple got married when Divya was 18 years old on February 13, 2005, at the Maa Vaishno Devi shrine in Katra.
Divya Khosla Kumar has been married to Bhushan, the chairman of the T-Series music label and film production company. She continued to try her hand in acting but faced rejections and a series of flop films. Eventually, she started directing films, and she has directed two films, Yaariyan and Sanam Re.
She went back to acting in 2017, with the film Bulbul. She also starred opposite John Abraham in Satyameva Jayate 2. Her latest appearance was in the movie Yaariyan 2, released in 2023.
