Veteran actor Paresh Rawal has confirmed that he was offered a role in Ajay Devgn’s upcoming Drishyam 3 but he turned it down. In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Paresh revealed that while the makers did approach him for a significant part, he didn’t find the role engaging enough. “Yes, the makers did approach me. But I didn’t feel the role was suitable for me. Maza nahi aaya (I didn’t enjoy it),” he said honestly. However, the actor was all praise for the film’s script. “The script is very good, I was really impressed. But even in a strong story, your role needs to excite you. Otherwise, there’s no fun,” he added.
The Drishyam franchise began with Mohanlal’s Malayalam film (2013), later remade in Hindi in 2015 with Ajay Devgn. While Mohanlal has already started shooting for Drishyam 3 in Malayalam, Ajay Devgn’s version, directed by Abhishek Pathak, is expected to go on floors soon.
