Actress Kunickaa Sadanand is seen on Bigg Boss 19 hosted by Salman Khan. The veteran actress has been part of the film and television industry for decades now. She is an advocate, politician, and social activist who has worked with Salman in films like Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya and Hum Saath Saath Hain. The actress spoke to SCREEN when she revealed that she is jealous of Neena Gupta.
When asked whether she, like Neena Gupta who has also faced challenges in getting quality work as a senior actor. The veteran star said "This whole audition process is a rubbish thing according to me, even in Hollywood they do self-auditions. The industry has become a confusing space. I have auditioned for a few people because I liked the role, but I just cannot do any role. You tell me, how big a role will anyone write for a female character artiste? Neenaji is an amazing actress. I say this sweetly, but I am jealous of her; she gets such good roles. And nobody can do the roles that she does. Having said that, today it’s not easy to get good roles".

Kunickaa shared her thoughts on film industry today and said how it is going through a bad phase. She said, “I feel the industry today makes very big budget films, and the recoveries are not there. In cinema halls, we see every second film flopping, so we need to make good content. In the beginning, OTT had good content, but after that, we started abusing it by using the same formula, so good content is very important. I really wish that we could connect to all the states. My friend Mukesh Chhabbra has been doing that, where he is going everywhere to seek out talent.”
Kunickaa Sadanand began her career in 1988 and earned praise for her performances in films like Beta, Gumraah, and Khiladi. She rose to fame with her role in Swabhimaan, Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara and more.
