Varanasi Teaser LEAKED: SS Rajamouli LASHES OUT at drone operators after...; says 'A year of hard work ruined...'

Renowned director S.S. Rajamouli revealed how hard his team worked to ensure no content from the film Varanasi was leaked. He also expressed his regret that despite all their precautions, some malicious individuals used a drone to leak a glimpse of the film online. At the film's title announcement event, the makers had installed a giant screen to give the audience a comprehensive and immersive viewing experience. However, some technical issues initially arose. These were later fixed, and the audience was shown the title teaser. Rajamouli explained that the team worked throughout the night to ensure the teaser was not leaked. He said they were supposed to play a test video the previous night, but to protect the actual teaser, they covered the entire area with a large crane and black cloth. At around 2 a.m., they only started playing the test video, but not the teaser. Suddenly, some people flew a drone, recorded the scene, and uploaded it online. According to Rajamouli, it was a year's worth of hard work—countless hours of work by thousands of people and costing crores of rupees. A drone leaked it all, and they were left at a loss for what to do

What did Rajamouli say about the Varanasi trailer leak? .

In Rajamouli’s words, "We were doing everything. We were supposed to test our video last night. But to make sure that the teaser shouldn't leak, we used huge cranes to cover this place with black cloths and worked late into the night. At about 2 am, we started testing our test videos, without playing our teaser. We don't know where these people came. I don't know if it was one or two of them. They started taking a drone and used it to make a video out of whatever we were supposed to show. They put it out on the Internet. That is one year of hard work of so many people. Thousands and thousands of man hours and crores and crores of Rupees. There was so much of hard work. All that was leaked by one drone flying randomly. We did not know what to do. We did not even test our video fearing it could be leaked. We wanted to show it in full scale and full resolution and we thought we would take a risk."
