After Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule created a huge uproar in the country, now fans are quite excited for THIS South film. The 2025 year seems to bring a lot of excitement for fans as producers and directors are all set to release their upcoming films this year. Can you guess which South film will be another hit this season?

We are talking about Kantara 2. The Kantara: Chapter 1 became a rage in 2022 and it was one of the most awaited films of the year. Kantara Chapter 1 was a blockbuster hit and people now have high expectations from part 2. The era of pan-India films began with Baahubali which broke all language barriers. Then came Yash starrer KGF which created a rage among fans. Pushpa: The Rise created a tremendous buzz and then Kantara made a grand entry and broke records in 2022. Kantara became the sixth highest-grossing Indian film of that year. The unique storyline of Kantara which brought rich heritage and traditions of the folk created a deep connection with the audience. Kantara made audiences have a different cinematic experience.

It managed to win the Best Popular Film award at the National Awards and actor Rishab Shetty won the Best Actor award at the 70th National Film Awards for his performance. This film is set in the Kadamba period of Karnataka. Rishab reportedly got trained in Kalaripayattu which is one of the oldest and most scientific martial arts in the world. He even mastered martial art for a year and is all set to woo audiences with his charm in Kantara 2.

According to reports, Kantara will be released in theatres on October 2 next year.
