Coolie vs War 2 box office collection day 5: Rajinikanth and Hrithik Roshan’s movies witness a major dip in numbers on first Monday, check report

Rajinikanth's Coolie and Hrithik Roshan's War 2 have been giving tough competition to each other at the box office. Both the films released on the same day and since then it has been a war at the box office. Coolie directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj has the star power of celebs like Nagarjuna, Aamir Khan, Soubin Shahir, Shruti Haasan and others along with Rajinikanth. On the other hand, the highlight of War 2 is the presence of South star Jr NTR as the antagonist. Both the films had a great first weekend and now the box office report for first Monday is here.

Coolie box office collection day 5
Both the movies - Coolie and War 2 - have witnessed a major dip in numbers on day 5. Given that it was a Monday and that too a rainy one, the numbers have seen a shocking drop. As per a report in Sacnilk, Rajinikanth's action thriller earned around Rs 12 crore on its day 5. These are the early estimates. The numbers have dropped as on day 4, i.e., on first Sunday, the film made approximately Rs 35.25 crore. The total collection of Coolie now stands at Rs 206.50 crore. It is definitely a milestone hit as within five days, Rajinikanth-starrer has crossed the mark of Rs 200 crore at the Indian box office. Overseas, the movie has performed extremely well and has emerged as one of the highest-grossers of recent times.

War 2 box office collection day 5
As per a report, Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR's latest release has now slipped down to single digit numbers. As per the early estimates, the film made around Rs 8.50 crore at the box office on day 5. It's day 4, i.e., first Sunday business was Rs 32.15 crore. Unlike Coolie though, War 2 hasn't managed to cross the mark of Rs 200 crore as yet. The total collection of the movie directed by Ayan Mukerji is Rs 183.25 crore. The pace seems to have slowed down and major rains in big cities like Mumbai and others add to the woes. Will War 2 be able to pick up again? We'll have to wait and watch.
