Laila Majnu actor, Avinash Tiwary, started 2020 on a grand note with Ghost Stories, which consists of four short film segments directed by Karan Johar, Dibakar Banerjee, Zoya Akhtar and Anurag Kashyap. Avinash features in the one directed by Karan Johar, who is the head honcho of Dharma Productions. He has shared screen space with Mrunal Thakur, whom he scared the most while shooting for Ghost Stories. Although the series has got a mixed response and masses and critics, Ghost Stories has been a dream come true for Avinash, a guy who was once a junior artist on the sets of a Dharma film.
Recently, when we interacted with Avinash over a call, we asked him as to what convinced him to do Ghost Stories, to which he said, "Do you think, if Karan Johar messages me to do a film, I will have to be convinced to do it? It was a straight yes and a dream come true for me."

Recollecting his struggling days, he further added, "Long back in 2005, I was a junior artist on his set for Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, which was being shot in New York. I was doing my film acting training there and that was the time I had been on a Dharma set. From there to playing a protagonist in his film, it has been a dream come true for me." Continuing his chat with us, Avinash Tiwary also spoke about the CAA act and said, "The only thing I can talk about now is CAA. Just the fact that it isolates a certain religion is something which I am standing against. Because my country, which is a secular one, decided to be a country which is for all religions and creed and any kind of isolation is an attack on the basic fabric of this country."
