Mukul Dev passed away at the age of 54 on May 23. He was in Delhi when he breathed his last. The last rites of the actor were held at Lodhi crematorium, Delhi. His brother Rahul Dev looked devastated after the demise of Mukul. He performed the last rites for his brother. Reports suggest that Mukul Dev was in the hospital for a week before breathing his last. His demise came as a shock for the entire entertainment industry.
Actors like Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Sonu Sood, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Manoj Bajpayee, and many others offered condolences on social media. Mukul's close friend, Vindu Dara Singh was present for his last rites. He was working with Mukul in the upcoming movie, Son of Sardaar 2.

Mukul's viral video
Vindu has now shared a video on Instagram. In the video, we see him with Mukul Dev. The video is from August 2024 and they are both seen spending time together. They are seen cracking jokes and laughing together. But, fans noticed that Mukul looked frail in the video, hinting that his health had already started deteriorating.
The video was reportedly taken on Son Of Sardaar 2 sets. Sharing the video, Vindu Dara Singh wrote, "For all the #sonofsardar movie lovers here comes the fantastic #sonofsardar2 and it’s always a pleasure working with a team of @adffilms that becomes one big family ! Speaking to ETimes, Vindu had opened up about Mukul battling loneliness and becoming over weight. He said that Mukul Dev did not suffer from any illness but used to drink a lot and have ghutka. Mukul has recently completed shooting for his upcoming film, Son Of Sardaar 2. This was supposed to be his Bollywood comeback.
