Dr Subhash Chandra - the man everyone calls the father of Indian television - turned 75 on November 30, and it’s a big moment for the industry. After all, he’s the one who launched Zee TV, India’s very first private satellite channel, and completely changed how the country consumed entertainment. From a young entrepreneur to a full-blown media legend, his journey is the kind of story people still look up to. Among the many people wishing him well was music maestro Salim Merchant, who had nothing but love and respect for Dr Chandra on his special day.
