Raid 2 is a film where Ajay Devgn is being seen making his return as the brutually honest Income Tax Officer, the film since its release has garnered various reactions from fans on social media.
Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn is back on the big screen, portraying the life story of the beloved and honest Income Tax officer Amay Patnaik, this time facing off against a bigger and much more formidable rival, Dadabhai, played by Riteish Deshmukh.
Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, this sequel to Raid, which was released in 2018, had been a massive success at the box office, grossing over ₹154.19 crore worldwide.
The film's first reviews are out on the internet, and the film has taken everyone by storm. Fans just can't keep calm about this blockbuster film and have been writing extensively on popular social media platforms like X (formerly known as Twitter).
Some people lauded Ritesh Deshmukh for his acting range and wrote, “#RiteishDeshmukh is acting his socks off in #Raid2 A case of an actor who barely gets to showcase his range to the audience because he has been typecast for so long. He got the opportunity in Ek Villain & he excels here as well.”

In #Raid2 he gives Riteish Deshmukh the opportunity to perhaps give one of the best performances of his career. Subtle, nuanced, complex, his eyes, Chico, those eyes, match Ajay's intensity in every step, in every scene. A worthy Lex Luthor to Superman for sure! I loved the climax. No dramebaazi, dishoom dishoom but again real, yet packed with high running emotions.”
The film also features various other actors like Tamannaah Bhatia, Vani Kapoor, Rajat Kapoor, and Saurabh Shukla, continuing his previous role as corrupt politician Rameshwar Singh.
The film also features music from Jasmine Sandlas, Sachet Tandon, and a remake of the popular qawwali “Tumhe Dillagi” by famous Bollywood playback singer Jubin Nautiyal.
The film was earlier scheduled to release on November 15, 2024, but was postponed due to unknown reasons.
