Some people lauded Ritesh Deshmukh for his acting range and wrote, “#RiteishDeshmukh is acting his socks off in #Raid2 A case of an actor who barely gets to showcase his range to the audience because he has been typecast for so long. He got the opportunity in Ek Villain & he excels here as well.”

While some other fan wrote, “#Raid2 is a true-blue, hardcore, paisa vasool entertainer. The core, heart & soul of the movie is the common man & the director does an excellent job to keep it that way as he ups the scale of the story which travels across the heartlands of Delhi & Rajasthan to enter the city of Delhi. Director #RakumarGupta has made it bigger, better & larger in scale than #Raid yet keeping the core intact. @ajaydevgn as Amay Patnaik is also a common man who turns into Superman while fighting corruption & ruthless politician Dadabhai @Riteishd Both, very powerful, brilliant actors, give outstanding performances in terms of intensity & drama. Their clashes, their cat & mouse games, their conflict, & deadly combat forms the high point in the movie. Ajay's heroism is a strong combatant to Riteish's adversary act. Their punchlines are fab. Hats off to the dialogue writer & director for keeping it real. Hats off to Ajay Devgn. In every film, he always steps back to give the other actor a chance to give his best. In #Raid2 he gives Riteish Deshmukh the opportunity to perhaps give one of the best performances of his career. You leave with Dadabhai etched into your heart & menacing voice reverberating in your ears. Subtle, nuanced, complex, his eyes, Chico, those eyes, match Ajay's intensity in every step, in every scene. A worthy Lex Luthor to Superman for sure! I loved the climax. No dramebaazi, dishoom dishoom but again real, yet packed with high running emotions.”
