She is the daughter of composer Loy Mendonsa of the Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy trio who compose music for Bollywood films. Alyssa has sung in several popular Bollywood films, including Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Patiala House, Break Ke Baad, and Amen.
