SAPAN VERMA

Biography : Sapan Verma is one of India's most popular stand-up comedians and the co-founder of East India Comedy - India's premiere comedy collective. He is the host, creator and executive producer of the Amazon Prime Original show One Mic Stand. Verma was born on May 8, 1989 in Delhi, India. He studied Economics at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, but dropped out to pursue a career in comedy. He started doing stand-up comedy in 2010 and quickly became one of the most popular comedians in India. In 2016, he released his first comedy special titled Obsessive Comedic Disorder on Amazon Prime Video. He has also appeared as a judge on Comicstaan Season 1 and as a guest on several other comedy shows. Verma is known for his observational comedy and his ability to make light of everyday situations. He is also a skilled storyteller and his shows are often full of personal anecdotes. In addition to his work as a stand-up comedian, Verma is also a writer and actor.
