ANKUR TEWARI

Biography : Ankur Tewari is an Indian singer, songwriter, and music director who has worked in Bollywood and the independent music scene. He was born in Brussels, Belgium, in 1977, and grew up in Bhopal, India. He started his career as a songwriter and musician for the TV series Ek aur Fauji, and later worked as an art director for the TV series Rajdhani. He also worked with Shekhar Kapur's Digital Talkies as a producer. Tewari made his debut as a music director in the 2007 film Ek Chalis Ki Last Local. He has since composed music for several films, including Quick Gun Murugun: Misadventures of an Indian Cowboy (2009), Chef (2017), and Gully Boy (2019). He has also released several albums, including Jannat (2012), Aao Wish Karein (2011), and Guilty (2016). Tewari's music is known for its unique blend of electronica, folk, and rock. He has been praised for his innovative soundscapes and his ability to capture the zeitgeist of modern India. He has won several awards for his work, including the Filmfare Award for Best Music Director, the Screen Award for Best Lyricist, and the Zee Cine Award for Song of the Year.
