AYAN MUKERJEE

Biography : Ayan Mukerji is an Indian film director, screenwriter, and producer who works in Hindi films. He was born in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, on August 15, 1983. His family has a long history in the Indian film industry, and his grandfather, Sashadhar Mukherjee, was a pioneering film producer. Mukerji made his directorial debut in 2009 with the coming-of-age comedy-drama Wake Up Sid. The film was a critical and commercial success, and won Mukerji the Filmfare Award for Best Debut Director. His next film, the 2013 romantic comedy-drama Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, was even more successful, becoming one of the highest-grossing Hindi films of all time. Mukerji's third film, the fantasy action-adventure Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva, was released in 2022.
