VARUN GROVER

Biography : Varun Grover is an Indian writer, comedian, poet, and filmmaker. He was born in Sundernagar, Himachal Pradesh, on January 26, 1980. He studied civil engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi, graduating in 2003. Grover began his career as a writer for television shows, including The Great Indian Comedy Show and Aisi Taisi Democracy. He also wrote the lyrics for several films, including Masaan (2015), Udta Punjab (2016), and Newton (2017). In 2015, he won the National Film Award for Best Lyricist for the song "Moh Moh Ke Dhaage" from Masaan. In addition to his work in film and television, Grover is also a successful stand-up comedian. His shows are known for their sharp wit and political satire. He has performed at major comedy festivals around the world, including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Grover is a versatile writer who has worked in a variety of genres.
