Katrina Kaif

Katrina Kaif (born Katrina Turquotte) is a British Indian actress and former model. Apart from Hindi movies, she has also appeared in Telugu and Malayalam films. Being a British citizen, she works in India on an employment visa. Katrina made her acting debut in 2003 with Kaizad Gustad's Boom. After initial phase of struggle, Katrina delivered a string of hits that include Namaste London, Ajab Prem ki Gazab Kahani, Race, Dhoom 3, etc.

Katrina Kaif was born on 16 July 1983 in Hong Kong. His father's name is Mohammad Kaif, and his mother's name is Suzanne. He has three elder sisters, three younger sisters and also an elder brother. Her family's condition was such that she had to move from one city to another. This is why most of her studies have been done at home with tuition teachers. At the age of 14, Katrina won the beauty contest held in Hawaii, after which she started working in the modeling world and she became a professional model in London. She first came to Mumbai for a modeling project during her teens. She wanted to work with John Abraham in her first Bollywood film, Saya, but due to lack of knowledge of the Hindi language, she had to leave the film. She then made her Bollywood debut by acting in the film Boom that same year. Ayesha Shroff (Jackie Shroff's wife), the producer of her first Bollywood film "Boom", named her "Katrina Kaif" from Katrina Turkett because her name was difficult to pronounce.

Namastey London '(2007) played a pivotal role in Katrina's career and she was rewarded for its success. After this, Katrina did 'Apne' (2007), Partner (2007), Welcome (2007), Race (2008), Singh is King (2008), Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani (2009), De Dana Dan (2009), Politics ( 2010), and many more. Through these films, she got the opportunity to work with directors like David Dhawan, Anil Sharma, Abbas-Mustan, Rajkumar Santoshi, Priyadarshan, Prakash Jha and Anees Bazmee, who have mastered commercial film making.
