Kareena kapoor is a Bollywood actress born to veteran actors, Randhir kapoor and Babita. she took on the name Kareena Kapoor Khan after her marriage to actor Saif Ali Khan. She is the younger of the two daughters, karisma kapoor being the elder. She made her Bollywood debut with refugee in 2001. Having played a variety of roles that range from contemporary romantic comedies to crime dramas, kapoor has successfully established herself as a leading actress of Indian cinema and is now one of the highest paid actresses of Bollywood.

Kareena Kapoor was born on 21 September 1980 in Mumbai. This dear daughter of the first family of the cinema world has a nick name 'Bebo'. Kareena studied at Jamnabai Narsi School, Mumbai and Welham Girls School, Dehradun. He then pursued a two-year commerce degree from Mithibai College, Vile Parle, Mumbai. Kareena Kapoor is married to famous actor Saif Ali Khan, 10 years older than her. Before marriage, his affair with his co-actors also made a lot of media headlines. Saif and Kareena also have a son named Taimur and he too remains in the headlines in the media.

Kareena Kapoor's career started with the film 'Refugee'. His performance in this film was also praised by critics. In 2009, Kareena Kapoor co-authored a book titled 'Don't Lose Your Mind, Lose Your Weight' with Nutritionist Rujata Diwakar on the subject of healthy eating. It was published by Random House Publications. The follow-up to this book was released after two years under the title 'Women and The Weight Loss Tamasha'. In February 2013, Kareena Kapoor along with Rochella Pinto published an auto biographical memoir titled 'The Style Diary of a Bollywood Diva'.
