The fury followed the Mumbai Police Anti-Narcotics Cell's bust of what they claimed was a significant narcotics network run by wanted dealer Salim Dola, who was reportedly linked to Dawood Ibrahim.
Taher Dola, his son, who was deported from the United Arab Emirates in August, is said to have provided investigators with crucial evidence on drug-related parties involving several well-known figures from the film business.
According to remand papers obtained by India Today, Taher admitted to hosting drug parties in India and overseas. The documents stated: “Further investigation into the said accused No. 05 has revealed that he is organising drug parties in the country and abroad and supplying drugs to those parties.”
They went on to name several people allegedly present at such gatherings, reading: “The said accused has previously organised drug parties in the country and abroad with Alisha Parkar, Nora Fatehi, Shraddha Kapoor and her brother Siddharth Kapoor, Zishan Siddiqui, Ori alias Orhan, Abbas Mastaan, Loka and many other people and has himself joined in them and is supplying drugs to these and other people.”

Nora responded by saying she was tired of being unfairly targeted, reacting to the claims. “It seems like my name is an easy target! … Please refrain from using my name and image on situations that have absolutely NOTHING to do with me! This will come with a heavy heavy price! Respectfully.”
