Nandamuri Balakrishna's much-awaited film Akhanda 2: Tandavam has finally been released in theaters on Friday after several delays and difficulties. This Telugu fantasy action drama is the sequel to the superhit film Akhanda, released in 2021.
Akhanda 2 is directed by the renowned director Boyapati Srinu, known for his grand action films. Along with Nandamuri Balakrishna, the film features actors like Samyuktha Menon, Aadhi Pinisetty, Harshaali Malhotra, Jagapathi Babu, Kabir Duhan Singh, and Saswata Chatterjee in important roles.
The film is produced under the banners of 14 Reels Plus and IV Entertainment. The producers of the film are Ram Achanta, Gopi Achanta, and Ishaan Saxena. There was a tremendous buzz surrounding the film even before its release. The film earned approximately Rs 8 crore in paid previews on Thursday, which is considered a fantastic start for any film.
After the official release of the film on Friday, its earnings saw a significant jump. On the first day, Akhanda 2 grossed approximately Rs 22.5 crore across all languages. This collection is considered an excellent opening for the film.
However, on the second day, Saturday, the film's earnings saw a slight dip. According to initial figures from industry tracker Sacnilk, the film earned approximately Rs 15.50 crore on Saturday. With this, the film's total collection in two days reached approximately Rs 46 crore.

The film's earnings continued on the first Monday as well. According to Sacnilk's report, the film had earned approximately Rs 0.65 crore by 12 PM on Monday. With this, the film's total collection increased to Rs 61.55 crore. In terms of occupancy, the film's overall occupancy in Telugu-speaking regions on Monday, December 15, 2025, was 16.12 percent. The highest occupancy was observed in Karimnagar, at 42 percent, followed by Visakhapatnam at 23%.
