JP Dutta's Border 2 is a sequel to Deol's 1997 popular film Border which was based on the events of Battle of Longewala. Read on to know how much the cast has been paid.
Border 2 is more than simply a follow-up; it's an ongoing cinematic conflict based on sacrifice, emotion, and patriotism. Sunny Deol, Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, and Akshaye Khanna all had outstanding performances in the original, which is now regarded as one of Bollywood's most beloved and poignant war movies.
Border 2, which once again stars Sunny Deol, aims to combine intense action warfare with emotional resonance. Along with actresses Sonam Bajwa and Medha Rana, the movie also features Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty.
Sunny Deol is reportedly asking for about Rs 50 crore for the second installment. A key character in the movie, Varun Dhawan is said to earn between Rs 8 and Rs 10 crore.
Diljit Dosanjh is reportedly paid between Rs 4 and Rs 5 crore. The costs for emerging star Medha Rana and Ahan Shetty have not yet been made public.
Ahan Shetty, who will carry on his father's legacy with the follow-up, had previously posted on Instagram. “Border is more than a film–it’s a legacy, an emotion, and a dream come true.”
He added, “Ironic how life works–my journey with Border started 29 years ago when mom visited dad on set while pregnant with me. I grew up hearing OP Dutta’s legendary stories, holding JP uncle’s hand, and sitting by @nidhiduttaofficial side. I never realized how much those moments would shape my love for cinema and the Indian Armed Forces.”
