Recently, in a conversation with Telly Chakkar, Shilpa Shinde shared her opinions about Shubhangi Atre. She talked about how during her exit as well, she had praised Shubanghi’s work as an actress. She also pointed out the fact that comedy is not everyone’s cup of tea.
‘Comedy is not everyone’s cup of tea’
Shilpa said, Dekhiye as an actor, maine us waqt bhi bola tha jab controversy chal rahi thi, very frankly, usne kaam kiya hai achha. Achhi actress hai but comedy sabke bas ki baat nahi hai. (Look, as an actor, I had said even at that time when the controversy was going on very frankly that she has done good work. She is a good actress, but comedy is not everyone’s cup of tea.)”
‘There is a lot of pressure…’
She also highlighted the fact that it is not easy to step into a role that someone else has developed. She continued, “Aur uske baad kisiko copy karna, wo bohot mushkil hai, bohot pressure hota hai.(And after that, copying someone is very difficult, there is a lot of pressure involved.)

Shilpa also talked about how, if Shubhangi Atre had enacted an original character, she would have gotten more fame. She said, Dekho aaj main kitna bhi sochu kisi actress ko copy karna, toh wo copy ho jaati hai. Chahe main kitni bhi achhi acting karu.(Look, no matter how much I think today about copying an actress, it ends up looking like a copy, no matter how well I act.)
Shubhangi Atre on ending the replacement game
Shubhangi once told Bombay Times that she wants to put an end to the replacement game. She had said, I just want to say that I am ending this replacement game now. I told my mum that Shilpa left the show in nine to ten months, so it felt like she handed me a newborn baby.”

Shubhangi continued saying, I raised that baby for ten years, and now I am returning it to her. I am passing it back with a full heart. I wish Shilpa all the very best and also the entire team for the 2.0 version of the show. She is a fantastic actor, and I am genuinely fond of her.
