Bigg Boss 19 is just a few days away from its spectacular finale on December 7. As the stage prepares for the finale. Prior to the finale, friends and peers of the housemates have been expressing their backing for their preferred contestants. Receiving significant support is Gaurav Khanna, who is being encouraged not just by his friends but also by many former co-stars, and now, another colleague has added to the roster of supporters. Rupali Ganguly, who played Gaurav Khanna's romantic partner in Anupamaa, has stepped up to express her backing for her past co-star. Gaurav, after earning his place in the finale by winning the Ticket to Finale, was greeted with a cheerful shoutout from Rupali as he embarked on the last stage of the competition.
Rupali, seen at an event, expressed her opinions on the Bigg Boss finale and the contenders. Rupali, who has collaborated with Amaal Mallik previously, conveyed his admiration for him. She additionally disclosed that she enjoys Farrhana Bhatt and Tanya Mittal's style of play. She emphasized that her Anupamaa co-star Gaurav Khanna merits the trophy.

Speaking to Buzzoka, Rupali shared, "I am very, very fond of Amaal. I love the content that Farrhana, Tanya and everybody have given. And Gaurav deserves to win. Jeetenge toh aap hi, Kapadia ji." Although Gaurav's supporters are praising Rupali's kind gesture, several also remembered the past rumors suggesting a conflict between them.
For those unfamiliar, Gaurav Khanna played Anuj Kapadia for a long time in Rajan Shahi's show Anupamaa. His character was romantically linked to Rupali Ganguly, who stars in the show as the main protagonist. Initially, he was contracted for only a few months, but the audience resonated so deeply with his portrayal of Anuj Kapadia that his role was prolonged to nearly four years.
Earlier, in an interview, Gaurav spoke about his bond with Rupali and Sudhanshu Pandey in an interview with Siddharth Kannan. He said, "Main Rupali ko friend nahi bolunga. Rupali is a wonderful human being from whom I've learnt a lot. Friend kya hota hai ki main kabhi bhi phone kardu ki ye hai, woh hai... (A friend is someone you can call anytime and share everything), I'm not on those terms with anyone, be it Rupali or even Sudhanshu. Even Sudhanshu Ji bolna chahiye (I should say Sudhanshu Ji). He's very spiritual, like me. He's a fantastic singer. I'm very happy he's coming out with new songs. I used to say, 'Don't quit singing, please'."
