Tanya Mittal is a name that is known by everyone today, whether you are a Bigg Boss fan or not. If you are just as chronically online as most of the population today, you would have come across her GRWM reels, or videos of her going to Dubai just to eat baklava. Inside the Bigg Boss house, Tanya Mittal is known for flexing about how much money she and her family have.
The influencers are originally from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. She started earning by selling cards, which she did not believe would earn that much. According to various reports, Tanya Mittal has said that she only completed her education till 12th grade, after which she came back mid-college. Tanya eventually started posting GRWM videos of her saree collection, which ended up blowing up.
According to Tanya, she hails from a very influential family, with her father having some sort of a real estate business. Miss Asia Tourism says that her mother is a homemaker, and her maternal family is “super rich.” The influencer had gained overnight fame when her videos of helping people in the Kumbh Mela Stampede became famous.
Her habit of international travel for food also came under scrutiny. She claimed to go to Dubai purely because of 'Baklava' and to London just for biscuits. This has been another example of her being out of touch with reality, often used as banter within the show.
For a long time, Tanya Mittal did get-ready-with-me videos on Instagram with her sarees, where she gained millions of followers for doing that. According to her, she wanted to specifically promote Indian and traditional attire in order to make women living in tier II cities feel comfortable in their choice of clothing. From there, she shifted to being a travel influencer.
Tanya added that if she chooses to say “Jai Shri Ram” instead of “Namaste,” there is nothing wrong with it. She requested the media not to make fun of her way of greeting, as it helps maintain the decorum of the interaction.
The reporters immediately clarified that they were not laughing at Lord Ram or her greeting. They said they laughed because her responses had become predictable.
