Celina Jaitly made claims of financial misappropriation and property dispute
The actress accused her estranged husband of financial misappropriation and alleged that he siphoned money from her bank accounts. She alleged that he used her debit and credit card while claiming to pay her bills and controlled her documents and passport. As per reports, a central issue in the dispute is a 2019 gift deed transferring her Mumbai flat to Haag. She further claimed that the deed was executed when she was mentally vulnerable. She also alleged that her estranged husband rented the apartment without her knowledge and earned Rs 1.26 crore approx.
The petition also includes that Haag sold a jointly purchased property in Vienna without informing her. She alleged that the abuse intensified after they moved to a small village in Austria. Haag had earlier filed for divorce in an Austrian court, where he blamed Jaitly for the breakdown of her marriage. The actress’s legal team mentioned that the court allowed her one hour of daily telephonic contact with the children. In her DV petition, Celina claimed that she had been prevented from contacting the children since initiating legal action in India.
Andheri court has adjourned the hearing for the alleged domestic violence case. The court adjourned the matter, giving both parties time to file their income affidavits. The Mumbai court has sought clarity on the financial positions of both parties before considering interim relief. The matter will be taken up on January 27, when the court is expected to review the affidavits and also hear Jaitly’s interim application.
